How this treatment works
Why it works
Heat at the dermis
Monopolar radiofrequency passes energy through the skin to heat a broad column of dermis in a controlled way. Existing collagen fibres contract in the short term. Over the following months the heated tissue is intended to remodel.
Coverage over intensity
Oligio spreads energy over wide zones at moderate depth. That is a different delivery pattern, not a better one. Comfort and response vary with the person and the settings.
What it does not reach
At these settings radiofrequency works in the skin layer. It is not intended to reach the SMAS, the deeper structural plane that descends with age. If the physician finds that most of the change you see comes from that plane, a dermal device may not be the right tool, and you will hear that before booking.

How does Oligio compare with Thermage?
Both are monopolar radiofrequency devices that heat the dermis. They are different machines from different makers, with their own prices on our menu. A different price does not make them the same treatment, and it does not make either one work better.
Which one suits you is a question for the assessment, not the price list. The physician will explain the choice in plain terms.
How uncomfortable is Oligio?
Each pulse can feel hot, even though the tip uses cooling and vibration. Comfort depends on the settings, the area, numbing and your own sensitivity, so we do not rank devices against each other for pain. Comfort measures are planned for you before treatment, and you can ask for a pause at any point.
How long does an Oligio result last?
Collagen remodelling develops over months, and how much develops varies from person to person. Whether and when to repeat is decided at follow-up rather than set as a fixed interval. Duration cannot be promised in advance.
Who is Oligio not suitable for?
Tell us before booking if you have a pacemaker or other implanted electrical device, metal implants in the area, an active skin infection, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Any of these can rule the treatment out.
Oligio is also the wrong tool when most of the sagging comes from deeper tissue. The physician will say so at consultation.
What should I send on WhatsApp before booking?
Send clear daylight photos of your face from the front and both sides, your travel dates, and any lifting treatments you have had, with rough dates. Say whether you are thinking about the face, the eyes or both. The physician can then tell you whether Oligio is worth planning. The final decision is made in person.

What research can and cannot tell us
Monopolar radiofrequency as a class. This is modality context only. It is not evidence of Oligio's results, not evidence that Oligio is equivalent to Thermage, and it does not support the comparison, price, comfort or maintenance statements elsewhere on this page.
A small study of monopolar radiofrequency and microfocused ultrasound reported improvement in facial and neck laxity, but it does not establish results for Oligio or for any particular treatment plan.
A randomized split-face trial in 20 people followed for six months. Both sides improved with no significant difference between them, which is not evidence that the two treatments are equivalent, and the abstract does not name the commercial devices used.
