Cha-makase standard

Design before treatment

Every lifting treatment at Tune Clinic begins with Cha-makase design. The physician reads the whole face and marks the intended treatment zones and vectors before deciding the device, settings, shot count or thread direction.

This is a planning method, not a result guarantee. Suitability and the final plan are confirmed after an in-person assessment.

Why it works

01

Point 01

RF energy heats the deep dermis, where existing collagen fibres contract in the short term. Whether that is noticeable straight after treatment varies by individual.

02

Point 02

The heat is intended to prompt collagen remodelling, which develops gradually over months. The degree and timing vary by individual and are not fixed in advance.

03

Point 03

A cooled, vibrating tip helps manage surface temperature and comfort; it does not eliminate risk or guarantee an invisible recovery.

Treatment FAQ

How is Thermage different from Ultherapy?

Thermage uses monopolar radiofrequency to heat the broad dermal layer for overall tightening, while Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound to reach deeper SMAS-level points for lift. Many patients benefit from one or the other; some are advised to combine them. The physician decides based on your skin and goals. Individual results vary.

When will I see results, and how long do they last?

Change may develop gradually over several months as collagen remodels. The degree and duration vary, so maintenance timing is reassessed rather than promised in advance.

Is it painful, and is there downtime?

Each pulse can feel hot even with tip cooling. Redness, warmth, swelling or tenderness can occur, and visibility varies. Comfort settings and aftercare are adjusted for the individual.

Published research

What research can and cannot tell us

Monopolar radiofrequency compared with microfocused ultrasound for mild-to-moderate face and upper-neck laxity. It does not cover a particular Thermage generation, the eye tip, a dose or a combined treatment plan.

A small study of monopolar radiofrequency and microfocused ultrasound reported improvement in facial and neck laxity, but it does not establish results for a particular Thermage model or treatment plan.

A randomized split-face trial in 20 people followed for six months. Both sides improved with no significant difference between them, which is not evidence that the two treatments are equivalent, and the abstract does not name the commercial devices used.
