Enlighten is a laser made by Cutera that fires very short pulses, in picoseconds and nanoseconds. Pulses this short are intended to break pigment into small particles mainly by mechanical effect rather than heat. The body then clears those particles gradually.
It is used for freckles, sun spots, melasma and pigment that sits deeper in the skin. Which of these you have, and how deep it sits, decides the settings and the number of sessions.
Outcomes vary by individual.

Used for freckles and sun spots that sit in the top layer of skin.
Used for melasma and pigment in the dermis. It is also used at gentle settings for laser toning.
The beam spreads energy across the spot rather than concentrating it in the centre. The aim is even treatment of broad, patchy pigment.
Melasma is treated at gentle settings over a series of sessions. Treating it too hard can make it darker.
Daily sun protection is part of treatment. Without it, pigment tends to return.
Melasma is a long-term condition. Maintenance sessions are common, and the physician discusses this at the start.
532nm and 1,064nm, chosen by depth

For active acne that keeps leaving marks behind.
Freckles, sun spots, melasma and deeper pigment. The physician first identifies which you have, because each is treated differently, and some pigment should be left alone or treated another way.
Usually, yes. Mild redness or tightness is common. Surface spots can darken and flake before they fade. For about a day, avoid strong sun, saunas and hard exercise, and use sun protection after that.
It depends on the pigment. Some surface spots may need only a session or two. Melasma and deeper pigment usually need a series, and maintenance is common. The physician gives an estimate after assessment, and results vary by individual.

No. This page is Pigmentation Deep Treatment with Cutera Enlighten at KRW 330,000. The First Pigment laser Omakase is a separate combined program. The physician suggests which suits your pigment at consultation.
What the pigment is, how deep it sits and how widely it is spread, how sensitive your skin is, and whether you have recently tanned. Those answers decide the wavelength (532nm or 1,064nm), the settings and how many sessions to plan.
