Why does the program treat the sebaceous gland rather than only calming the skin?
Sebum production is one of several factors involved in acne, alongside follicular blockage, bacteria, inflammation and hormonal influences. The program uses treatments intended to act on the sebaceous glands and on inflammation rather than only soothing the surface. Whether that approach suits your skin is a physician assessment, and outcomes vary by individual.
What is the difference between PDT and Gold Photo Thermal Therapy?
PDT (photodynamic therapy) applies a photosensitising agent and light with the aim of acting on sebaceous glands and inflammatory acne. Gold Photo Thermal Therapy uses nano-gold particles and laser light with the aim of delivering heat to the sebaceous glands. The physician decides whether one, the other or both suit your skin. Neither is presented here as a way to stop acne returning or to avoid scarring, and responses vary by individual.
Why does acne come back even after dermatology or home care?
Acne is a recurring condition with several contributing factors, so treatment is usually about control rather than a one-time cure.
