Subcision for Acne Scars

- Standalone subcision for one acne-scar area, priced separately from the combined program package rate. Confirm the scope when comparing these options.
VAT at 10% is charged separately on every treatment and program.
- At consultation the physician looks at your scars under side lighting, sorts them by type and checks whether acne is still active. Scar work usually waits until breakouts are under control.
- The starting program is Juvelook Skin 1cc with subcision. Subcision uses a needle under the skin to release the bands that pull rolling scars down. Fractional laser, microneedling RF and focal TCA are separate options, priced separately, and added only if your scars call for them.
- Numbing is applied first. Subcision is done through small needle entry points, so bruising and swelling over the treated scars are expected for several days. How long they last varies by person.
- Tell the physician about cold sores, keloid scarring, isotretinoin in recent months, or an active skin infection. Any of these can mean a method is postponed or left out.
Final treatment and price are confirmed after assessment, before treatment begins.

Why scar revision is a plan, not one device
Acne scars come in different shapes. Icepick scars are narrow and deep. Boxcar scars have sharp edges and a flat floor. Rolling scars are wide and soft, pulled down by bands of tissue underneath. Each shape responds to a different method.
So the physician examines the scars first, usually under light from the side, and then decides which methods to use and in what order. Most faces have more than one type.
Scar revision makes scars less noticeable in steps. It rarely removes them completely, and we say so at the start.

A needle is passed under a rolling scar to release the bands pulling it down.
Fractional laser
Resurfaces the skin in small columns. Used mainly for boxcar and shallow scars.

- Sun protection matters. Treated skin can darken if it is exposed to strong sun too early.
- Improvement builds across the plan. Scars are softened, not erased.
- Tell the physician about cold sores or keloid scarring before treatment.
- Active infection or recent isotretinoin can mean some methods are postponed.

Can acne scars be removed completely?
No. Treatment makes scars less noticeable, sometimes clearly so, but it rarely removes them entirely. How much change is realistic depends on the scar types and your skin, and the physician tells you at consultation.
Does it hurt?
Numbing is used for each method. Subcision feels like pressure and pulling, and laser or microneedling RF feels hot and prickly. Tell the physician if it is too much; the session can be paced.
I am only in Seoul for a short trip. Can I still start?
Yes. A first session can be done during a visit. The physician can choose methods with less recovery time for that session and explain how to continue on a return visit. Leave a few days between treatment and your flight in case of bruising or swelling, and confirm the buffer at consultation.
What should I send on WhatsApp before booking?
