Acne leaves two kinds of mark. Flat brown or red discolouration is pigment and usually fades over months. A scar is a change in the skin's contour, described as icepick, boxcar, or rolling, and it does not resolve alone.

Acne leaves two things behind and they are often confused. Post-inflammatory discolouration is flat: brown or red marks where inflammation has left pigment or dilated vessels, with the skin surface unchanged. With time and sun protection it usually fades. A scar is structural: inflammation has destroyed collagen and the surface itself is now indented, or in some cases raised.
Atrophic scars are usually described by shape. Icepick scars are narrow and deep. Boxcar scars are wider with defined edges. Rolling scars are shallow undulations tethered from underneath. Most faces carry a mixture in different proportions, and one face often needs a different approach in different zones, which is why the plan is built after looking at the skin rather than from a photograph or a single scar-type label.

This happens, and it is worth understanding why. When a physician examines your anatomy in person, they often find that the treatment you arrived expecting is either less suited to your tissue than an alternative, or that the combination you read about online does not match your actual clinical picture.
The recommendation will be explained - not handed to you as a take-it-or-leave-it directive. You will understand the reasoning before anything is agreed. If you have a strong preference for a specific approach, say so; the physician will clarify what the clinical tradeoffs are.
Nothing is performed without your informed consent. If after the consultation you prefer to go elsewhere or think further before proceeding, that is a reasonable outcome.
Your booking is final once our team sends you a confirmation message. Nothing is paid in advance. The physician decides in person on Day 1 whether the treatment suits you. If it does not, that treatment is not performed.
