The Tuning

The lift your face had before fatigue took it.

Non-invasive ultrasound tightening, calibrated to your skin’s baseline tension. The most accessible entry to physician-curated tuning — zero downtime, one session.

It isn’t volume. It’s tension.

You wake up and the face in the mirror looks tired. Not older — tired. The jawline is a fraction softer than you remember. There’s a small slack at the corner of the smile that didn’t use to be there. Nothing dramatic. Just a slow loss of the quiet tension your face used to hold on its own.

That tension — the structural pull that keeps the cheek, jawline, and neck composed — lives in the SMAS layer beneath the skin. It loosens. Filler can’t restore it. Cream can’t reach it. Only focused energy at the right depth can.

The Tuning brings that tension back. Quietly, in one session, without changing the face anyone else recognises.

The Science

Why it works

1. Focused ultrasound at the SMAS

Micro-focused ultrasound deposits thermal coagulation points at 4.5mm depth — precisely where the SMAS layer lives — without disrupting the surface skin above it.

2. Physician vector planning

300 shots aren’t spread evenly. They follow vectors mapped to your bony structure, your jawline angle, and the direction of your specific laxity.

3. Slow, neogenic remodelling

Stimulated fibroblasts lay down new collagen and elastin over 8 – 12 weeks. The result builds gradually, which is why no one will catch the “moment” you changed.

Who it’s for

  • Faces between 30 and 50 noticing early to moderate jawline or cheek laxity.
  • Anyone who cannot afford visible downtime — The Tuning leaves no marks.
  • Travelers with a tight schedule: one 60-minute session, fly out the same day.
  • Patients beginning a long-term tuning relationship — this is the natural first lift.

Who it’s not for

  • Significant structural laxity: heavy jowls or deep neck banding may need The Restoration (Ultherapy + Thermage + IV sedation).
  • Primary concern is volume loss: if the issue is hollowness more than slackness, see The Composition.
  • Pregnancy or active facial infection: defer until cleared.
  • Looking for surgical results: The Tuning re-tensions; it does not replace a deep-plane facelift.
The Process

Anatomical Design Workflow

Every procedure begins with a precise, physician-led mapping process directly on your skin.

Baseline Assessment
Step 01

Baseline Assessment

Evaluating underlying skin condition, tissue thickness, and resting facial tension before any markings begin.

Interactive Planning
Step 02

Interactive Planning

Collaborating with you using a mirror to align your aesthetic goals with realistic anatomical possibilities.

Primary Vector Mapping
Step 03

Primary Vector Mapping

Tracing the foundational lifting vectors and identifying the primary direction of tissue laxity.

Structural Blueprint
Step 04

Structural Blueprint

Completing the first-stage design to map out the exact zones requiring deep energy delivery or support.

Micro-Detailing
Step 05

Micro-Detailing

Isolating secondary areas of concern, such as localized volume loss or delicate skin zones that require specific focus.

Safety Protocol
Depth & Safety Calibration
Step 06

Depth & Safety Calibration

Applying final clinical markers (red) to delineate precise treatment depths and strictly avoid anatomical danger zones.

What patients say

★★★★★ Verified on Google Apr 2026
I had Ulthera here. The pricing was excellent, and this is definitely not an assembly-line clinic. It was my first procedure so it stung a bit — but the conversation with the doctor put me completely at ease. The nursing staff were incredibly kind. I'll be back.

After Ulthera, my facial contour kept getting more defined as time passed. The result settled in so naturally that I'm even more satisfied than I expected.

Physician’s Q&A

Six questions, honestly answered

Does it hurt?

There is brief deep heat at each shot — usually described as a quick warm pulse rather than sharp pain. Most patients tolerate the full 300 shots comfortably with the included targeted comfort block. If you are highly sensitive, optional IV conscious sedation makes the session essentially painless.

Will I see results the next day?

Some patients see a modest immediate firming the first morning. The real result builds over 8 – 12 weeks as fibroblasts produce new collagen and elastin. The change is genuine but slow — which is exactly why no one notices the “moment” your face shifted.

How long does it last?

Most patients carry a noticeable benefit for 12 – 18 months. The skin keeps the new collagen, but baseline aging continues underneath. A maintenance session once a year sustains the result; some patients prefer to wait 18 months and feel the difference more sharply.

Can I fly out the same day?

Yes. There is no visible swelling, no bruising, no surface marks. Many of our international patients book The Tuning on the day before they fly back. Hydrate well, avoid alcohol that evening, and you’re cleared.

Is 300 shots enough for my face?

For early-to-moderate laxity (the standard Tuning candidate), yes. For thicker tissue, heavier jowls, or significant neck banding, the physician may recommend a 500- or 800-shot upgrade, or layering Thermage on top — which is what The Restoration is. The recommendation is honest, made face-to-face.

Can I combine The Tuning with other treatments?

Yes. The Tuning pairs cleanly with The Foundation (dermal restoration) in the same visit, since the two work at different depths. Botox for expression lines can be added in the same session as well. We avoid combining same-day with aggressive surface lasers.
